Role: Warehouse and Dispatch Assistant
Location: Partridge Green, West Sussex
Hours: Part-time hours, Monday to Friday (8.30 -15:30)

About the role

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and customer focused, to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse and dispatch.

Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for ensure all customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time. You will help manage and maintain the warehouse stock, locations, processes and facilities. Delivering a high standard of service excellence within the business and to our customers is key to the role. Requiring you to be flexible in supporting and liaising with all areas of Operations and be able to react to the needs of the business.

We are a direct-to-consumer business, we predominantly sell after-market bicycle wheels under the brand Hunt Bike Wheels, operating out of headquarters in West Sussex, England and operations out of the USA and Germany. The goal is to create solutions for all riders, taking an engineering first approach to create cutting-edge performance wheel products for riders around the world.

Cycling is at the heart of what we do - whether it’s racing, commuting, or just enjoying the ride. You don’t need prior experience in the bike industry (or even be an avid rider!) to apply, you might just catch the bug while you’re here!

Key responsibilities

  • Picking and packing customer orders accurately and within time deadlines for courier collections.
  • Printing customer orders and administering shipping labels.
  • Changing components on bike wheels to fulfil customer order requirements.
  • Performing quality control processes on inbound and outbound stock.
  • Using barcodes and stock locations around the warehouses.
  • Monitoring and updating stock levels between picking and stock storage areas.
  • Regular stock taking and accuracy checks for stock and packaging materials.
  • Fitting tyres to wheels – following strict quality and health & safety guidelines.
  • Unloading deliveries from sea containers and shipments.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team.
  • Liaising with couriers and customers, in a professional manner.
  • Following Health and safety guidelines.
  • Keeping the warehouse facilities safe, tidy and presentable.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse and dispatch role is beneficial.

·        Excellent communication skills with good spoken English.

  • Good level of IT skill (MS Outlook/Word/Excel/Teams)
  • Cycling experience beneficial, but not essential
