About the role

HUNT Wheels is looking for a hands-on, technically capable generalist to join our US team in Boulder, Colorado. This role supports several areas of our day-to-day operation with a focus on warranty admin, wheel building and repairs, customer service, facilities upkeep, and general operational support.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working with bikes, solving problems and jumping between different priorities. Strong bicycle mechanical experience and technical aptitude are essential.

We are a direct-to-consumer business, specializing in high-performance aftermarket bicycle wheels under the brand HUNT Wheels, operating out of headquarters in West Sussex, England, with operations in Boulder, CO, USA, and Dresden, Germany. Our goal is to create solutions for all riders, taking an engineering-first approach to develop innovative performance wheel products for riders around the world.

Key responsibilities

Shipping & Warehouse

  • Pick, pack and ship customer and dealer orders
  • Unload, organize and put away incoming stock
  • Warehouse organization
  • Prepare domestic and international shipments
  • Maintain shipping materials and packing supplies
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and efficient warehouse

 

Warranty & Technical Support

  • Inspect and diagnose returned wheels and components
  • Perform wheel, hub and component repairs
  • Replace bearings, freehub bodies, ratchets, spokes, rims and other components as required
  • Receive and process inbound returns
  • Build, true and tension wheels
  • Carry out warranty inspections and document findings
  • Work with Customer Service to help resolve technical and warranty cases
  • Identify recurring product issues and communicate findings internally
  • Maintain workshop tools, parts and consumables
  • Support product testing, technical projects and quality-control work when required

 

Operations & Facilities

  • Support general upkeep of the Boulder office, warehouse and workshop
  • Maintain organized storage areas and shared workspaces
  • Assist with events, product preparation and other operational projects
  • Provide general support across the US team as priorities require

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong bicycle mechanic experience is required
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Wheel-building and wheel-service experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable diagnosing mechanical problems and working independently
  • Organized and able to manage several different types of work
  • Comfortable working with inventory and computer-based systems
  • Reliable, practical and willing to help wherever needed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to safely lift and move wheels, bicycles, boxes and other warehouse inventory along with being comfortable on a ladder.
  • Previous bike-industry, workshop, warehouse or fulfilment experience preferred

 

A Day in the Life

You might start by receiving returned wheels, inspecting a warranty claim and then log or process it. Next, you could replace a set of bearings, build or true a wheel, or work with customer service to resolve a rider inquiry on chat or email.

Later in the day, you may help pack outgoing orders, put away incoming stock or prepare wheels for an event. You’ll keep the workshop organized and flag recurring product issues to the team. Priorities change, so you’ll need to move comfortably between detailed mechanical work and the practical tasks that keep our US operation running.

 

Benefits

  • This is a 40-hour-per-week, Boulder-based position. Compensation can be structured as hourly or salary depending on experience and final role structure. Salary range is $20-$24 per hour based on experience.
